I've been living in the UK for 5 years but none of those years have been in London. So I'm pretty much still a massive tourist there. And London's Borough Market has been on my list of to-do's for a while now because I've heard about the amazing produce there. And boy was I proved right.
The biggest highlight of the trip was TRUFFLES. They sold truffle honey, oil, pate. They let you smell them too. Gorgeous. They sold foie gras black truffle pate there...and I was in absolute heaven. I bought that and drizzled the truffle honey on it. No words.
The second highlight was the DOUGHNUTS. Vanilla bean doughnuts from Bread Ahead. Enough said.
I went on a Saturday at around lunch time. Completely jam-packed. You'd probably want to avoid going at this time but it can be quite nice to get the hustly-bustly weekend feel.
