A hidden enclave. A safe haven. Organica Lifestyle just feels peaceful. Perhaps it's not in your typical, and overly congested Telawi side of Bangsar. Perhaps its just that calm feeling that seems to always radiate from anywhere that encourages healthy living. It's a one-stop-shop for all things healthy: a yoga studio, a cafe, a restaurant, a health store. a chill zone, a nutritionist AND an integrative health consultant.
Dry Cooking Area
I like to see some of the dry preparation take place whilst we are chilling at the dining area in front of it.
THE cutest doggy ever that runs around the restaurant. But no fear, if you're afraid of dogs, the owners very happily place it on a little sofa when it's too scared to jump off sneef.
Love the stuff here. Tonnes of stuff ranging from beauty to food.
Sold beautiful yoga gear here.
Healthy Ever After
Had a cute little refrigerator of stuff from this shop Healthy Ever After. Love their stuff especially the Cashew Cream Cheese.
Also, Sir Waffles' sofa for him not to run around the restaurant. Hahaha.
I tried the Big Brunch but forgot to take a photo! It had seriously yummy thyme-infused mushrooms. At first they served a measly portion of them but Shanthani (the co-founder) was really sweet and cooked us up an extra larger portion. The life changing loaf really was something unlike anything I've ever tried before. It had tonnes of seeds and oats inside and had this milky taste even though it was milk-free. And I was a bit suspicious about it in the beginning as it looked TOO healthy but actually it matched the rest of the ingredients on the dish really well. The eggs were good and the avo portion was generous and had a really creamy taste to it.
Okay you meat lovers out there (I'm talking to myself too don't worry.) This is obviously not going to be as awesome as roadside beef rendang, fried chicken, coconut oiled rice. There's a reason why nasi lemak is literally translated to be FATTY RICE. But the tofu tempeh sambal is really gorgeous and I craveeee it. But the broccoli is raw (I don't like raw veg but it is healthier for you). All in all, it's a really yummy vegetarian dish.
When any menu describes something as famous, I'm always dubious. But man. It had raw cacao, maca, dark choc chips, caramelized banana, honey ricotta and fresh berries. OOOH. Enough said. It's gluten free, and can be vegan too by request. The pancakes were gooey, but not too gooey, and just plain soft and luscious and oh so chocolatey. Seriously recommend this.
Shantini showing us around
Even this is pretty hahaha.
Had the pleasure of meeting Shantini, the co-founder of Organica Lifestyle, who was lovely enough to show Sam and I around her place. She grew up in Australia but has Malaysian roots and decided to come back to open her business here. Sam especially loved relating to her about newer health topics like myofascial release and integrative medicine.
And what a perfect time for this post: they're having an open day tomorrow! There are free yoga classes from 1pm-5pm AND they just partnered up with Uber (use the code ORGANICAYOGA) to give you guys 2 free rides worth RM 20 each to get to the open day!
